900 children enjoy half-term play sessions in Torfaen

More than 900 children had fun during the recent half-term with Torfaen Play Service.

The Play and Wellbeing sessions were run at schools and community venues Torfaen, Over 120 playworkers and volunteers delivered a range of play-based activities.

Children got the chance to take part in a variety of exciting activities, including sports, arts and crafts, team games, and spend time with friends.

Specialist play and respite sessions were also delivered to around 85 children who required additional support.

Julian Davenne, manager at Torfaen Play Service, said: “It’s been yet another fantastic week of play, with great numbers of children engaging with free play opportunities.

“None of this would be possible without the commitment and dedication of the playworkers and volunteers who support these activities all year round.”
