A new website is helping dog owners easily find places they can go with their pet. Dog Furiendly lists attractions in Wales where dogs are welcome.
It covers shops, restaurants, cafes, pubs and visitor attractions. Adele Pember set up the site after struggling to find places to take her Jack Russell cross, Charlie, who suffers from separation anxiety.

Some of the surprising dog friendly spots she has come across include:

The Bell pub in Caerleon– Fancy a bit to eat? Why should your dog miss out? This lovely spot offer a three-course meal for dogs. Read about it in this Argus story.
The National Showcaves Centre for Wales– Take your pet on an underground adventure at this popular attraction The FAQ page says: “Friendly family dogs are permitted into the Showcaves, but dogs must be on a short lead at all times, with owners having ‘doggy bags’.”
Guide and assistance dog owners
Adele said that despite the law some guide and assistance dog owners have enjoyed using the site as it has given the extra confidence when visiting somewhere new as the owners have declared they are ‘dog friendly’.
