Like millions of other armchair racing fans Miles Cook loves Top Gear. But it was an episode of the programme in 2007 where the presenters did a 24-hour challenge at Silverstone that inspired him to take up motor racing. He has gone from buying a BMW 320 3 Series on eBay to getting it race-ready and competing all over the UK in the Production BMW Championship.
Cwmbran Life caught up with Miles, a dad-of-three, at the Forresters Car Club open evening at Newtown Motors in Cwmbran where he was showing his car and chatting to motorsport fans.
