I was chatting to a neighbour, Mark Ward-Jones, at a BBQ last night and he told me that earlier this year he was hypnotised by the world-famous Derren Brown. Click this link here to listen to the audiboo of Mark telling his story. Mark was invited to the Irish Centre in London along with about 100 other sceptics. After that he was asked to be in the audience for the Channel 4 screening of Derren’s show Miracles for Sale This was shown on Saturday 25 April 2011 on Channel 4.
The pic below is Mark hypnotised on stage. He took this photo from his telly when the programme was screened. This is where Derren told him to forget his name. When Mark was asked for his name he replied ‘They call me baldie!’.
Sorry if hypnotised is the wrong word to use in this blog. Derren’s website
says…
Dubbed a ‘psychological illusionist’ by the Press, Derren Brown is a performer who combines magic, suggestion, psychology, misdirection and showmanship in order to seemingly predict and control human behaviour, as well as performing mind-bending feats of mentalism.
I read that to mean he is a hypnotist.
Here is Mark’s autographed programme.
ps. The whistling that starts at 3min in the audioboo is my daughter!
