An empty shop
The empty shop on North Walk in Cwmbran town centre

A former estate agency in Cwmbran could be turned into a pizza restaurant and takeaway.

Over the years the unit at 17 North Walk (next door to Rabaiotti’s) has been occupied by agents including Darlows. Now Torfaen Council will have to decide whether or not to allow a change of use from A2 Use Class into a restaurant and takeaway (A3 Use Class).

The planning application was submitted last week. The papers include details of the proposed new sign and show the name- Fireaway. Fireaway has over 75 branches across the UK with one in Wales- in Cardiff.

The applicant says that five full-time jobs and three part-time jobs would be created.
