Those two yellow recycling units outside Cwmbran Fire Station have won an award.

Residents who drop off items inside them help raise money for the Fire Fighters Charity. The units are familiar sites at fire stations across the UK. During December they are emptied for a special competition in January to find out which one collects the most items.

Cwmbran was the Wales winner for January 2023. Green Watch at Cwmbran were on shift when representatives from the charity and Roberts Recycling came along to present them with a hamper.
