A public consultation is being held by the organisation behind plans to build a wind farm on Mynydd Maen above Cwmbran.
Renewable Energy Systems (RES) want to hear people’s views before they submit a planning application. Due to the proposed location being seen from Torfaen and Blaenau Gwent, RES is holding an event in each county.
Documents from the Mynydd Maen Wind Farm website from an online consultation held in March 2022 show that 13 turbines up to 149.9 metres tall could be in the final application. But the website makes clear that ‘…this may change as design evolves’.
This week’s events will see staff from RES show their updated plans following the online event last year. Members of public can chat to staff, ask questions and give views on the new proposals.
