A new touch rugby team for women is starting in Torfaen.
New Panteg Women’s RFC are starting a side for players who want to play the sport but avoid contact.
A message on X/Twitter from the club said: “Always wanted to play rugby? Looking to improve fitness? Have fun? Meet New people? But not sure about the contact?
“Look no further. New Panteg RFC Women have you covered with our offering of touch rugby as well as contact. Sessions designed to cater for all!”
The touch team sessions are for under 14s (school year nine) to seniors. They are holding a “meet & greet session” at 6.30pm at the club house on Friday 2 February.
