Entries are open for a “tough” seven-mile race from Risca to the peak of Twmbarlwm and back again.
The Twmbarlwm Terror is being organised by Fairwater Runners, It takes place on Sunday 5 November and is open to up to 250 runners. The entry cost is £13 for affiliated runners and £15 for non-affiliated runners. Organisers say the route is “across the footpaths, open fields, country lanes and woodland of Risca, Pantyreos to the Twmbarlwm peak and back to Risca. The route is very challenging terrain underfoot with a total elevation of approximately 1000 ft. This is the fourth running of the race that has proved to be a massive success.” It starts at 10:30 am from Risca Leisure Centre.
