The Cwmbran Exile Netball Club is hosting a ‘pie in the face’ fundraising event.

Half of all the money raised on the day will go to the club and the other half will be shared between the Alzheimer’s Society and Motor Neurone Disease Association. A spokesperson for the club said the two charities had been chosen as they were “close to our players’ hearts”.

It’s being held on Saturday 19 August at 4pm outside the Mount Pleasant pub in Old Cwmbran. You pay £2 to splat the pies in someone’s face.

The day also includes:

• a cake sale.
• a children’s netball shooting competition.
• games.
