Cwmbran Town AFC is hosting a friendly fixture against a team of players from the youth system at Bristol Rovers.
The Sky Bet League One outfit send a young team to Cwmbran Stadium on Friday 21 July. Kick off 7pm. Entrance £3 for adults and £1 for children.
The game was arranged thanks to the Crows new assistant technical director, Damien Broad, who is head of coaching at Bristol Rovers.
Fans of the Crows are looking forward to the match. Steve Thomas, a Cwmbran Town supporter for over 20 years. said: “This exciting pre-season game offers Town’s fans the opportunity to see their team go up against a selection of talented youngsters from an established League one club’s youth system.
“It also offers an opportunity for the new management team to see who will likely be the key members of the squad for the coming Gwent Premier League season.”
Chris Timm, another fan, said: “This is a huge fixture for the Crows, with a superb opportunity for the quality squad we have, including the new signings, to demonstrate their ability, against effective opposition.
“The Crows are more determined than ever, and certainly capable enough, of gaining promotion from Tier 4 this season. The more support we can get behind the club, both on and off the field, all the better”
