Cwmbran Celtic FC earned themselves a Welsh Cup quarter-final spot on Saturday against JD Cymru Premier League leaders, The New Saints.
The reward for their 3-2 win away at Penydarren BGC in Merthyr Tydfil last week is a clash against the top side.
Club officials are hoping for a large, hometown crowd to come out and show their support for Celtic,
TNS are the current league champions and also ended last season as cup champions. The Oswestry-based outfit will make the 106-mile journey to the Avondale Motorpark Arena- Celtic’s home ground next to Cwmbran Stadium- for the 2pm kick on Saturday 4 February.
Cwmbran Life popped along to the stadium tonight and chatted to James Kinsella, team manager, before he led their final training session before the match. He said: “Everyone’s excited. We just can’t wait to get out there. The boys are all buzzing. It’s a bit of a surreal moment for all of us. Hopefully, we can cause an upset and we can get through to the semi-finals.”
