Jemma Cantelo, from Treats N Play, said: “We’re doing a summer music festival at the Castell Y Bwch on Saturday 6 July with a lineup of DJs, face painting, softplay, mascots and BBQ.
“We will have a raffle with prizes, guess the name of the bear to win it, and how many sweets in the jar to win it. All the money will go to Tŷ Hafan Children’s Hospice, including £1 from every food order on the BBQ.
“This charity is based in Barry. They look after poorly children, some on palliative care. The work they do there is amazing but can unfortunately only take ten children at a time due to lack of funding.
“My daughter, Miley also chose this charity in her school to fundraise for and recently visited the hospice. She was shown around and told some beautiful but heartbreaking stories and since coming home we’ve decided myself and Miley will be getting as many sponsors as we can to climb Pen Y Fan.”
