Four new small businesses have recently opened in Cwmbran town centre with one entrepreneur saying she’s “super excited” to open her shop.

Shoppers can find the new shops on The Parade, North Walk and South Walk.

  • Electric Chair Tattoo- opened by independent tattoo artist, Nicholas Chaney. 29 The Parade (617 sq ft)
  • I Connect, mobile phone accessory specialist. Unit 8 North Walk (1436 sq ft)
  • Brow and Lashes- 31 The Parade (829 sq ft)
  • Suit U- a family-owned ladies fashion retailer, returns to Cwmbran. Unit 1 South Walk (1253 sq ft).

Sunina Ale from Brow and Lashes said: “I have grown up spending time in the centre so I am super excited to open my shop here, doing what I love. You can find me on the upper parade where I look forward to welcoming new and returning customers to my new space.”

Also recently opened at M Cwmbran is vape specialist, VPZ at unit 7 The Parade.

Alex Williams, senior asset manager at LCP, the national commercial and property investment company that owns and manages M Cwmbran (formerly The Cwmbran Centre), said: “This is fantastic news for the centre and for local independents. Since acquisition, we have seen a number of small businesses join the centre and thrive. In fact, the whole of M Cwmbran, which also houses Dunelm and Primark, is seeing a huge uplift in shoppers with a 35% increase in footfall for Q1 2024, compared to Q1 2023.

“We believe that the success of M Cwmbran is down to consumer choice. The centre successfully mixes big names alongside niche independent businesses. With the occupancy rate standing at 95%, M Cwmbran is setting the standard as the leading shopping destination in the area and we’re looking forward to delivering more success throughout 2024.”
