A former pupil at Coed Eva and Blenheim Federation primary schools returned to help raise over £800 for Cancer Research UK.

Harmony is part of the Youth Committee for Pontypool Relay for Life- this epic event starts at 11am tomorrow (Saturday 6 July) and sees hundreds of people walk in relay teams around Pontypool Park for 24 hours.

Harmony asked her current school, Cwmbran High School, if she could go back to her old school and organise an event to get younger pupils involved and support the big event.

She got pupils to carry a baton around the playground throughout the school day, including over lunch time, with new classes joining in regularly to take on the baton.

The day started and ended with celebration assemblies.
