Housebuilder Barratt David Wilson Homes South Wales wants community groups and charities to apply for grants from its community fund.

The housebuilder supports children, young people and those facing challenges in the communities close to its developments.

Richard Lawson, sales director at Barratt David Wilson Homes South Wales, said: “The community fund is a chance for us to help improve the quality of life for those living in the areas local to our developments.

“Each month we have the opportunity to fundraise and donate to registered organisations that do incredible work — and we want to make sure that they know we are here to support them.

“I urge any registered charity or community groups within the Cardiff, Vale of Glamorgan, Torfaen, Monmouthshire or Swansea areas to get in touch — we’d love to hear more about your story and how we can support the legacy you are creating.”

Barratt has supported a range of causes in South Wales over the last year and donated More than £2.5m since 2022- including Blood Bikes Wales, which supports the transportation of blood samples and plasma for the NHS; Cardiff and Newport Sands, a UK’s stillbirth and neonatal loss charity; military charity, Rugby for Heroes and Two Rhythms, an arts therapy charity based in Cardiff.
