Amy Jenkins, her mum, said that a young man with short blond hair pulled up in a red Vauxhall Corsa. The number plate started with L008.

He took her portfolio containing her A-level coursework, which is due to be submitted next week, and drove away.

Amy contacted the police to report the theft, adding that Maddie, who is autistic, has been “hysterical” since it happened.

Maddie showcases her art, tutorials and challenges on TikTok, under the account @nutty_squirrel

Any information?

A spokesperson for Gwent Police confirmed they had received a report of the theft. If you have any information, please contact the police on 101 or via their social media channels and quote the log number 20250916-0019.

I met her mum a month or two ago at an event, and she pulled out her phone proudly showed me the art her daughter had created. Maddie has been on my story ‘to-do’ list since then.
