Young people in Torfaen can learn how to scratch vinyl, master breakdance moves, and create bold street art at FREE workshops in Cwmbran.
The Cwmbran Hip Hop Project is series of free weekly workshops starts designed to inspire creativity and build confidence through hip hop.
It started on Friday 21 November.
Children aged six to 12 can take part in dynamic evening sessions featuring DJing, breakdancing, and graffiti art. The workshops will run every Friday from 6pm to 8pm at the annexe building behind Cwmbran Community Council’s office on Ventnor Road in Old Cwmbran
The project is led by top instructors, including DMC UK DJ Champion Huw Wackman, professional breakdancer Tommy Boost, and renowned graffiti artist PANIK.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn how to scratch vinyl, master breakdance moves, and create bold street art- all in a supportive, high-energy environment.
Organisers emphasised that the sessions are not only about learning new skills but also about fostering teamwork, rhythm, and self-expression.
However, spaces are extremely limited, and early registration is essential.
A key requirement is the ability to commit to all of the weekly Friday evening sessions.
