A free bike‑marking session will take place in Cwmbran later this month as police respond to a recent increase in bicycle thefts in the area.
PCSO 546 will be running the event at The White Hut on Thursday 30 January from 4pm to 7pm.
The free event is supported by the crime‑prevention initiative ‘We Don’t Buy Crime’.
Officers will be on hand to security‑mark bikes and offer practical advice on how owners can better protect their property.
Bike‑marking helps police identify stolen bicycles and return them to their owners.
