Families are invited to a free Easter Hunt at Cwmbran Boating Lake today- Monday 30 March.
Solar Buddies, the sun‑safety company based in the town, is holding a “BIG Easter adventure” with children encouraged to search for hidden Solar Buddies characters around the lake.
The business makes refillable, and child-friendly sunscreen applicators designed to make applying sunscreen easy, mess-free, and independent for children. Founders Kelli Aspland and Laura Waters appeared on Dragons Den in 2023, and their pitch earned a total of £80,000 investment from Deborah Meaden and Peter Jones.
The drop‑in event runs from 10am to 12pm and is completely free.
Little hunters can take home any Solar Buddy they find, enjoy Easter treats in exchange for a quick video review, and learn about sun safety in a fun, hands‑on way. The team will be capturing moments from the morning for their social media.
Families can simply turn up – no booking needed – but organisers remind parents that children must be supervised at all times.
