Three young boxers from Torfaen Warriors Boxing Club became Welsh champions last Saturday in Cardiff.
The new national champions are:
- Shane McIntyre – Youth 50-55kg
- Jenzen Miguel‑Powell – Junior 54-057kg
- Jedikiah Jones – Junior 57-60kg
All three topped their weight and age categories at the Welsh Boxing National Championships in the Sport Wales National Centre in Cardiff, proudly representing the club on the biggest stage in Welsh amateur boxing.
The club is now hoping to build on that success by taking the three champions – along with four other talented young boxers – to compete in the Pirkka Cup in Finland this May.
Head coach Simon Weaver said the trip would be an incredible opportunity for the team and is appealing for funding support and donations.
