Ebenezer Chapel in Upper Cwmbran is inviting residents to its series of summer afternoon teas to enjoy homemade treats and help raise money for chapel funds.
The chapel, based in The Square, is holding them on (all Saturdays) the 8th, 15th and 22nd August from 2pm to 4pm.
Organisers told Cwmbran Life this is the chapel’s second afternoon tea of the season, and visitors can look forward to Dot’s cakes, including her popular ice slices and Victoria sponge, which they say “go down a storm” with regulars.
Alongside tea and cake, volunteers will also be selling used books, jigsaw puzzles and DVDs, with all proceeds supporting the maintenance of the chapel.
