Family, friends and teammates will come together this week to remember much‑loved Cwmbran man Tom Curran, who passed away with cancer in August 2025.
A special memorial cricket match is being held in honour of the dad-of-three at Croesyceilig Cricket Club.
The game takes place on Friday 7 August, starting at 6pm, and will see Croesyceiliog CC take on the TC Squad — a team formed especially for the occasion. Everyone is welcome to attend.
A memorial bench will also be unveiled in memory of Tom.
The event organisers say the event is a chance to celebrate a man who “had a way of touching the hearts of so many people throughout his lifetime”.
They are inviting the community to join them for an evening of sport, memories and togetherness “in a way we know he would have loved – with friends, family and a game of cricket.”
