Six members of Torfaen Dolphins represented East Wales last weekend in the National County Championships.
The team headed to Sheffield’s Ponds Forge pool for the prestigious competition on Sunday 4 October.
East Wales competed in the Division 1 league and West Wales in the Division 2 league.
Tom Croke, head coach at Torfaen Dolphins, said: “The best swimmers from across that county in each of those individual events compete for their county against each other and the team with the most points becomes the best county team in Britain.
“If you can make that team, it’s like you know you’re one of the best swimmers in that event in the region and you get to compete against the best swimmers in Britain.”
The six swimmers are Theodora Taylor, Emme Sherrard, Pip Sweet-Roberts, Gayle Lawn, Maximus Major and Zach Williams.
