Torfaen Tigers rugby league club have made the generous decision to make the Shae Button Fund their shirt sponsor for this season.
Instead of chasing a local business to pay to advertise on the shirt the players now proudly play with ‘Shae Shae’s’ Army and ‘Meningitis Awareness’ splashed across their chest.
Adult jerseys cost £40 and children’s are £30 with ten per cent being donated to the Shae Button Fund.
Sally Davies, from Torfaen Tigers, said: “Once we heard about Shae our decision was easily made. We were deeply saddened by Shae’s passing and agreed raising awareness of this disease was a cause to support. The Tigers boys were proud to walk out in their new shirts in last week’s game against Newport Titans which they won 54 – 12.”
You can buy a shirt by contacting the club through their Facebook page, calling 07553 437355 or sending an email to [email protected]
Torfaen Tigers play at Cwmbran RFC in Pontnewydd.
