Cwmbran Shopping is running a competition to help a love-struck valentine stage a proposal on Saturday 14 February.
Cwmbran Shopping is calling upon people to share their love stories as part of its ‘Perfect Proposal’ competition, set up to help a romantic member of the community plot a secret proposal to take place at the centre.
Winners could include childhood sweethearts who have always wanted to get engaged but a lack of cash has prevented it, a duo who have been separated for a number of years and reunited or two people who fell in love at first sight.
Prizes in Valentine’s Day competition
The person who shares the most romantic tale will win a prize bundle including a diamond ring from Paul Gentile Jewellers; a meal at Frankie and Benny’s; a bouquet of flowers from Maria’s Flowers and a bridal makeover courtesy of Clinique at House of Fraser.
Cwmbran Shopping staff will work with the winner to plan a secret proposal to take place in Gwent Square. Preparation will include choosing the engagement ring and flowers and inviting the couple’s family and friends to share the moment.
The competition will run on Cwmbran Shopping’s Facebook page and entrants are being asked to direct message the page and say why they deserve to win the package.
Enter now before the closing date
The closing date for entries is Tuesday 10 February and the proposal will take place at midday on Valentine’s Day.
The winning couple will be the first to get engaged at the shopping centre
Paul Rich, centre manager at Cwmbran Shopping said: “It will help a deserving couple share their love and ultimately spend the rest of their lives together. Cwmbran is a wonderful place, full of remarkable individuals with interesting stories to tell.
“Whether it is a couple who fell in love in unique circumstances or teenage sweethearts, we want to find a way to celebrate a true love story. We are looking forward to witnessing an iconic moment in a couple’s lives and encourage people to enter as soon as possible. ”
