Summer fun at Cwmbran Shopping

Summer fun at Cwmbran Shopping

Cwmbran Shopping’s Summer Carnival is taking place every day throughout August and is packed full of activities that the whole family can enjoy, including circus workshops and activity days.

It kicks off on Saturday 1 August with an all-day live Pop Legends Concert where you can watch look and sound-alikes including One Direction, Cheryl Cole, Robbie Williams, Olly Murs and Rihanna

Entertainment will also include Mr. Sparkles children’s show and Frozen characters. Elsewhere on Caradoc Road you’ll find funfair rides and stalls.

Cwmbran Shopping’s land train will also be running throughout August, with rides taking place from 11.30am to 2.30pm every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Community groups at Cwmbran Shopping

Cwmbran Shopping will be hosting a variety of different events throughout the August summer holiday, including activities run by community groups such as the Torfaen Youth Service, in addition to live talent contests and funfair rides.

Alongside several local performers and magicians entertaining shoppers, there will also be a host of activities for children, including a carnival mask workshop, face painting and activity days.

Saturday fun in the bandstand

Every Saturday the Gwent Square bandstand will be transformed into a stage for a range of live acts, including Mr Sparkles children’s show, Kieran Marsh’s pop performance and the Star Hunters talent show heats.

Sundays will see a range of funfair rides and market stalls available.

Funfair rides

To round off a month of fun-filled activities and events, there will also be funfair rides and stalls available in the centre for the last three days of August at Gwent Square.

Paul Rich, Centre Manager at Cwmbran Shopping said: “We want to enjoy the summer with our local community and provide daily entertainment throughout the holidays, for the whole family to enjoy together. We’re hoping that people will come down to Cwmbran Shopping to explore what’s on offer, and even try their hand at something new. We’re also excited that people will be able to jump on board our land train with their children and see the centre from a completely different perspective.”

More information about the Summer Carnival and specific dates can be found on the Cwmbran Shopping website or Facebook page.
