Cwmbran Stadium is the home of Torfaen Pickleball Club. The racquet sport has been played in America since the 1960s but this is the only club in Wales.
Members pay just £1 an hour. All equipment is provided.
I popped along to chat to John Price, club coach, and recorded this video. He first played the game in America four years ago and on his return to Wales he decided to set up the club.
The sport is suitable for all ages and doesn’t have the high impact on your joints like tennis and squash.
New members are welcome to sessions at Cwmbran Stadium on Tuesday and Thursday from 9am to midday and Pontypool Active Living Centre on Thursday evening from 7pm to 8pm.
