The next time Richard Jones, a PE teacher from Croesyceiliog School, coaches his school cricket team on how to catch a high cricket ball he can just show them this video.

He was in the crowd at last weekend’s Glamorgan v Hants T20 Blast match at Sophia Gardens when a batsman whacked a shot high into the air for six.

Watch this video to see what happened next…

As the players on the pitch stood and looked upwards our skillful PE teacher was setting his feet and body in the perfect position and keeping his eye on the ball.

The crowd gave him a huge cheer as his safe pair of hands pulled the ball into his body. Imagine the stick he would have had from pupils if he fumbled the catch?

Video Credit- Richard asked Glamorgan Cricket Club for a copy of his blinding catch and they kindly sent him a copy

Glamorgan lost the match by 22 runs. Check the Glamorgan website for ticket info on their upcoming fixtures.
