This is one of my favourite photos. It hangs on the wall of the public bar in the Dorallt pub in Cwmbran.

There are a few reasons why it makes me smile. Look at how everyone is dressed. I doubt your average pub darts team goes to this much effort for a midweek league match. Can you imagine the stories that these characters could tell?

The photo is 50 years old. There was no smoking ban. The pints of beer on the table probably give a clue to why so many residents of the village took up the arrows.

Finally, my favourite thing about this photo is the dog day under the table. Brilliant. I wish I was there. It is a snapshot of the Great British Pub.
