Cafe to open in former Pretty Miss store in Cwmbran town centre

A cafe will open in the shop left empty following Pretty Miss moving to a new spot in Cwmbran town centre.

The family-run school uniform business had been at 5 Caradoc Road since 1960 but in January 2023 it moved to 7-9 The Arcade, the row of independent shops around the corner from Boots. In June 2022, Cwmbran Centre was given permission to change the use of the unit to A3 to allow sale of food or drink on or off the premises.

Torfaen Council has given planning permission for the new-look ‘Maggie’s Takeaway’ shop signs to appear on the unit at 5 Caradoc Road. The signs show it will offer breakfast, dinner, drinks and snacks.
