A primary school in Cwmbran is set to welcome local residents and parents to a community wellbeing event later this month.
Blenheim Road Community Primary School will host the gathering on Tuesday 23 September from 14:00, offering attendees the chance to connect with a range of local organisations.
Representatives from Gwent Police, Torfaen Council, Bron Afon, Sparkle, Cwmbran Centre for Young People, Torfaen Voluntary Alliance and Cwmbran Community Council are expected to attend. They will be on hand to offer advice, support and information on services available in the area.
While the event is a one-off, the school says it is exploring plans to establish a longer-term drop-in centre, allowing agencies to regularly engage with the community from the school site.
Visitors will be able to enjoy refreshments, collect free resources and learn more about what support is available locally.
The school said it hopes the event will help strengthen ties between families and the organisations working to support them.
