A brother and sister from Cwmbran are raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society, a charity their mum says is “close to their hearts”.
Faye Lawton told Cwmbran Life her children Esme, 11, Ethan, eight, have started collecting raffle prizes, organising a ‘guess the number of sweets in a jar’ game, and selling tickets for a family-friendly party with Mad Mel’s Disco at the White Hut community hall in Coed Eva.
The fundraising over the next six weeks builds up to the party on Saturday 22 March from 12.30pm to 2.30pm. Tickets are on sale now.
Faye thanked the support of many local businesses including Smarts Darts, Free Spirit, Coed Eva boxing club, The Entertainer and Vue Cinema for donating raffle prizes.
She said Esme and Ethan were inspired by seeing the fundraising events for Velindre Cancer Centre at Blenheim Road Primary School.
The White Hut party is for children and families to come together and have fun while raising money for a good cause.
