Do you have any used, new or surplus bras that you don’t need?

You can now donate them at Principality Building Society in Cwmbran and help raise money for breast cancer charity.

Cwmbran Life asked a staff member why they had chosen to do this and was told: “We at Principality Cwmbran are really proud to be supporting Against Breast Cancer with our new Bra Bank. It’s a charity close to our hearts, and will support raising funds towards research into secondary breast cancer.

“Our opening hours are 9.30an to 4.30pm Monday to Friday, and 9am to 12pm Saturdays. All are welcome to drop off their bras- used, new, unneeded. We are hoping to fill three boxes by “Christmas- so get sorting ladies!”

The charity says the bras go a ‘textile recovery project’ to stop them going to landfill ‘before giving them a new lease of life’. And they receive £700 for every tonne of bras to help fund their research.

The Principality branch in Cwmbran is in General Rees Square, next door to Primark.
