Gateway Credit Union held its annual general meeting during February.

It was held online on Thursday 22 February 2024.

A spokesperson from the organisation said: “The AGM was conducted by the Association of British Credit Unions (ABCUL) on behalf of Gateway Credit Union to ensure transparency and compliance throughout the meeting, while members joined to have the opportunity to speak to their Board from the comfort of their own homes.

“We have welcomed new volunteer office bearers to our board and committees to lead our credit union for the next financial year.  Bringing a wealth of diverse experience and knowledge to their roles, the staff and volunteers work closely as a team to ensure that your credit union continues to provide financial support.

“We are here with you, to navigate the challenges and make the most of opportunities to improve the financial resilience of all our members.

“Canon Brian Pippen, Chair of the Board of Directors, expressed his honour in being nominated and re-elected. Here since the inception of the credit union 27 years ago, he expressed his excitement and confidence in the new group of volunteer directors and committee members.  He praised the volunteers and dedicated staff working together as a team to elevate the credit union to new heights.”
