Share your good luck messages for Vinny Riol as he leaves Wales for Spain to enjoy more time with his family.
He worked at the former Fairwater House pub “a long time ago” and has just pulled his last pint after 11 years at The Potters in Newport.
The popular city pub held a party for him on Friday 31 July on its rooftop terrace, where regulars and workmates thanked him for his “hard work, laughter, and personality.”
He said: “I just want to enjoy the family and that’s it. I’ve got five grandkids and three daughters, so I want to enjoy them. “
The Potters shared some lovely words on social media about the well-loved barman.
“We’re all incredibly sad to see him leave, but we’re also so excited for him as he starts a new adventure in Spain.
“Over the past 11 years, Vinny has become much more than a colleague; he’s become a friend to so many of us and to countless customers. His hard work, laughter, and personality have made a lasting impression, and he will be greatly missed.
“From everyone at The Potters, thank you for everything, Vinny. We wish you all the very best for this exciting new chapter in Spain. You’ll always be part of The Potters family.”
