The Friends of Pontnewydd Park are encouraging residents to remember loved ones who have passed away by having an LED candle lit for them on Christmas Day.

You can write your own message on your LED candle for a loved one

The group are inviting people to visit the park to write a message and make a candle that will then be lit on Sunday 25 December. There are two sessions:

  • Friday 23 December- 3.30pm-5pm.
  • Saturday 24 Demember- 3.30pm-5pm.

Making a candle is free but you can make a donation towards the group’s project to restore the park’s old Rose Garden into a memorial area for the late Queen and others who have passed.
