Homes being built on site of former pub in Cwmbran

These photos show the progress being made to build nine homes on the site of a former pub in Cwmbran.

The site is on the spot where the New Bridge End Inn (known as the Bottom Bridge) used to be before it closed in approximately 2016. In July 2021, Melin Homes was given permission to build six one-bedroom flats and three two-bedroom houses on the land off Greenhill Road. Following planning approval, the pub was demolished.

The photos in this story were taken today- Tuesday 27 June 2023. The planning application suggested that the pub closed in 2016.
