Did you know that Kenneth Williams has a link to Cwmbran? In an interview recorded in 1968 while he was filming Carry On Up The Kyber in Snowdonia the comedian said his mum was from Pontnewydd.
The video popped up on a fan account on Twitter dedicated to the actor who passed away in 1988. In the 64-second clip he said: “I always like being back in Wales, always, you see my parents were Welsh. My mother was a Morgan from Pontnewydd and my father was from Port Talbot and so I always feel a hiraeth, it always comes back to you, once you step back into the place where you have atavistic memories.”

Early start today!😁
Here’s a lovely clip of Ken being interviewed on location whilst filming ‘Carry on up The Khyber’ in Snowdonia in 1968.
He loves a bit of the sadisms.
And his face at the end…..
