Cwmbran Centre is gearing up for a bonanza Christmas this year. The centre is the perfect place to visit to pick up your gifts for Christmas with free parking and shops all under cover so you can enjoy your visit whatever the weather.
Christmas Market and lights- Saturday 26 November
A special Christmas Market is on Saturday 26 November, where you can pick up gifts and crafts from local stallholders in Gwent Square.
The fun starts at 11am with Christmas acts, including festive songs and dances by children from Nant Celyn Primary School. The centre’s 30ft Christmas tree in Gwent Square and other festive lights will also be on during the day.
Santa’s Grotto
Santa’s Grotto opens on Saturday 26 November, free of charge for one day only, giving youngsters the chance to tell Father Christmas what is on their wish list for this year. The Big Man himself will be at the centre again every Saturday and Sunday from noon until 4pm and will be joined by his cheeky elf. Entry costs just £2 from Saturday 3 December and visitors to Santa will receive free chocolate.
The centre’s land train will run every Saturday offering rides for £1.
Late night shopping from Wednesday 7 December
Late night shopping is every Wednesday and Thursday from 7 December to 22 December. Stores will be open until 7pm.
Weekly raffle
Simply spend £10 or more each week and show your receipt in the Cwmbran Centre Christmas Raffle Stall in Gwent Square and you will be given a ticket. A draw takes place every Saturday from 26 November to 24 Dec. The fantastic prizes include:
- 1st prize: £750 Hays travel voucher
- 2nd Prize: £50 Rugby Heaven gift voucher
- 3rd Prize: £25 Brown Bear gift voucher

Gift wrapping
Cancer Research will offer gift wrapping on 10, 11, 14, 17 and 18 December at its store between noon and 4pm.
Pony meet and greet
For the first time, you can take part in a pony meet and greet on 11 and 14 December between 11am and 2pm.
Festive events take place from 11.30am to 4pm on the following dates.
