Torfaen Libraries’ ‘Read to Me at Home’ service is bringing books and companionship to elderly or housebound residents.
The scheme pairs volunteers with people who can no longer easily access library services or enjoy reading independently.
Volunteers visit residents in their homes. The initiative is free and aims to support residents who may be missing the joy of books due to age, ill health or limited mobility.
