Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), who play at Lords in London, sent a team to Gwent last week to play a match against players from the South East Wales Cricket League.
The MCC v South East Wales Select took place at Ebbw Vale Cricket Pavilion on Friday 1August. It was a double-special day for Croesyceiliog Cricket Club.
They had two players selected, Stewart Roden and Danny Evans, with Stewart having the honour of captaining the side.

The players in the league team usually compete against each other throughout the season, so it was a nice event for them to come together to compete against this famous club.
South East Wales Select won the match, finishing on 179 for 3 in 31 overs of a 40-over match.
