A series of new artist’s impressions of the food and drink venue opening in Cwmbran town centre have been published.

The Loungers Group announced in June 2022 that it had agreed a 15-year lease with LCP, which owns and manages the centre, for the former Square Inn site next door to the Congress Theatre.

A press release from Cwmbran Centre two months ago said the venue would be called Carro Lounge but the drawings in a Torfaen Council planning application show a possible return to the venue’s previous name- The Square Inn.

The Loungers Group has successfully applied for planning permission to ‘Extend building with new shop front and installation of extraction for reuse of property as a Lounge Cafe/Bar | 47-49 Gwent Square Cwmbran Torfaen NP44 1PL.’

The venue will serve a range of food and drink all day, every day, including gluten-free and vegan standalone menus. In the original announcement, Cwmbran Centre said the venue would open by Christmas 2022.
