It’s 7.17pm and I’m sat in McDonald’s Cwmbran. Every Sunday I spend an hour or two on my own making sense of the last week and looking at what’s coming up- and trying to give the impression I’m organised.
My life is led by three applications, ToDoist, Evernote and Google Calendar. The one tells me what I’ve got to do today, the other is where I write things, and the third tells me where I have to be and when.
It’s not a perfect system but I’d be a mess if I tried to keep everything in my head or on bits of paper.
What are your tips for staying organised? I’d love to hear them.
Five best things of last week
A few things put a smile on my face this week.
- ✍🏼Meeting 15-year-old Ieuan Jones at Cwmbran High School. He’s written a book. Read his story here.
- ⚽️Editing this video of Mark Entwistle who at 75 plays for the Wales over 75s veterans football team.
- ☕️Attending the launch of Griffinhouse Wellbeing. Watch a quick video I posted.
- 🍺Drinking a few beers in this stunning pub, The Queen’s Head in Gosport. My mother-in-law lives down there so I enjoyed a few days by the sea.
- 💪🏼 Reading How to Build a Body That Lasts. I saw a review of this book in last week’s Sunday Times and bought it on the spot. We all spend too much time on our phones and laptops. It’s packed full of simple stretches and exercises to increase your mobility.
🧁 Help out The Cookes Bake
If you use Facebook, please take a second and follow The Cookes Bake. They’re a home bakery business in Cwmbran. They recently lost access to their Facebook page after years of building up 1000s of followers. Find their new Facebook page here.
