Samantha Williams has helped to raise thousands of pounds for the Peter Andre Fund (it supports Cancer Research UK). Her dedication led to several meetings with the Australian star all over the UK. Last October she heard he was less than a mile from her front door in Cwmbran filming a TV series.
As she got ready to leave her home to go and see him she slipped at the bottom of her stairs and broke her leg. It wasn’t a simple break. The unlucky mum-of-four is still in County Hosptial in Panteg undergoing rehabilitation treatment 13 weeks after her accident. The good news is she now has a date in February where she should be ready to leave.

A week after her accident she was due to go and watch Chris Andre, Peter’s brother, in concert. It was the first time in four years she has missed him perform. She hopes to be well enough to make it this year.
Peter, who was filming an episode of 60 Minute Makeover in Thornhill, has sent her a get well card and her friend Emma Plumpton sent her a tongue-in-cheek birthday card which made her laugh.
She said: “I would like to give a special thanks to all staff on the Rowan Ward at County Hospital who have looked after me so well.”
Her kneecap was shattered in the fall meaning surgeons had to fit plates and rods. The well-known fundraiser began supporting Peter’s foundation following the death of her brother-in-law, Mark, and her cousin, Kevin, both of cancer.
