Torfaen Council has received a planning application to change a former bridal shop in Cwmbran into a beauty salon.

The vacant shop at 28 Victoria Street used to be Charlotte Alexander Bridal Wear. The application says the shop will be known as ‘Abigail Hannah’ Beauty Salon and offer services including eyebrow shaping, eyelash tinting and bridal make-up. It will employ one full-time and two part-time members of staff.

The proposed opening times are:

• Monday: Closed
• Tuesday: 10am to 5pm
• Wednesday: 10am to 8pm
• Thursday: 10am to 5pm
• Friday: 10am to 5pm
• Saturday: 9am to 6pm
• Sunday: Closed

Council planners will make a decision at a later date.
