Police officers in Cwmbran have arrested a number of shoplifters this week in Cwmbran town centre.

On Thursday 19 October, they said: “Torfaen officers have increased patrols on Cwmbran Town following a spate of shoplifting offences, a number of arrests have been made and more offenders have been identified. We will continue to work with local businesses to identify and deal with those responsible.”

This was followed up on Friday 20 October with a further arrest. They said: “Cwmbran officers supported by CSOs (community support officers) have arrested another prolific shoplifter on Cwmbran Town this afternoon. We are working with local businesses to identify and catch those responsible.”
