Artists from across Torfaen are invited to take part in the Pontypool ‘Plein Air’ Art Competition 2026, with three days of outdoor painting planned for 25, 26 and 27 June.
Participants can register from 9am at Pontypool Indoor Market before heading out to capture the town’s buildings, landscapes and hidden corners. Each artwork must be completed in a single day, with judging taking place on Sunday 28 June at Torfaen Museum.
Prizes of £250, £100 and £75 are up for grabs, and all submitted pieces will be displayed in a special exhibition throughout August.
Pre‑registration costs £10 (or £5 for students aged 16–18), or artists can sign up on the day for £12.50.
