Two cocktails from Cwmbran-based Loose Juice

”Hi. We’ve started a bottled cocktail service in Cwmbran and wanted to…”

“Yes!” I answered before I got to the end of Tegan Badham’s message. Tegan and her partner Liam Thomas have started Loose Juice and aim to bring “delicious, high-quality drinks to events, festivals, and private parties”.

Her kind message was to offer some free samples from their range to try out. The couple are booked in for several public events over the next few months. They’ve already been given a ‘five’ from the food hygiene rating scheme as their cocktails are freshly mixed and bottled at their home.

In the future, they plan to apply for a licence to be allowed to take orders and do home deliveries, but right now they’re concentrating on building their name at events across the region. They’re also keen to chat to any local clubs or pubs about stocking their products (send them a message on social media).

I invited some ‘expert’ cocktail tasters to help out. My wife and daughter were both happy to get involved, and we shared each bottle three ways.

As we sipped each drink, I scribbled down our views and thoughts. Here they are:

🍹Singapore Slinger – ‘Sweet’, ‘cherry’, ‘zingy’

🍹Gangreen – ‘Ooh yeah’, ‘smooth’

🍹Dubble Bubble Daquiri – ‘This is beautiful’, ‘this is amazing’, ‘beautiful that’

🍹1525 Blush – ‘Amazing’, ‘cherry, cherry, cherry,’ ‘almonds, nuts’, ‘lush’

The price is £7 for one bottle or four bottle for £25.
