This is the last year you will be able to see the amazing house in Cwmbran that is lit up every Christmas. Phillip and Merrilyn Cullen have been decorating their home for over 20 years but told Cwmbran Life this is the last time their lights will be switched on.
Phillip who is in his 70s said it takes an incredible amount of time and effort to check the lights and put them up and his health means after 1 January 2014 they will be turned off and takes down for the last time.
The 2013 switch-on took place at 4.45pm today and within minutes there were around 20 people stood outside chatting. Car after car was pulling in so the passengers could take a look. Children were singing Christmas songs with the dancing Santa in their garden.
The couple live in Molescombe in Fairwater. If you turn into Jule Road from Henllys Way their house is on the left, opposite a car park. If the lights are on you can’t miss it! They are friendly and always happy to chat 🙂
